Privacy policy

This page says what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and who sees it. We keep it short because the list is short.

What we collect

• The photo you upload, the portraits we make from it, and the style you chose.
• Your email, if you give it to be notified or when you order.
• Your name, delivery address and phone when you order a print, collected by Stripe at checkout.
• An anonymous visitor id in a cookie, the page you arrived on, and the advertising parameters in that link (for example which ad you clicked), so we know which ads work.
• Usage events such as upload, preview shown, checkout started, measured with PostHog and the Meta Pixel.

We never see your card number. Stripe handles payment.

How we use it

• To make your portrait: the photo is sent to an AI image provider (fal.ai, running Google and ByteDance image models) with a description of the style. The provider processes it to make the picture and does not use it to train models.
• To make and ship your print: the final print file and your delivery details are sent to our print partner, Printful, which makes and ships the print.
• To send you emails about your order, through Resend.
• To measure our advertising: Meta receives the standard Pixel events and, from our server, a hashed version of your email and your order value, so Meta can attribute the order to an ad. This is what every store that advertises on Meta does.

How long we keep it

• Photos and previews that do not lead to an order: deleted after 30 days.
• Photos, portraits and print files behind an order: kept so we can reprint or resend, until you ask us to delete them.
• Order records: kept as long as tax law requires.

What we never do

We do not sell your data. We do not share your photos with anyone other than the providers above, and only to make and ship your order. We do not use your pet's portrait in our marketing without asking you.

Cookies

Essential: the visitor id and your order link. Measurement: PostHog and the Meta Pixel. In the EU and UK the measurement cookies are only set after you accept them.

Your rights

Email hi@framepets.com to see, correct or delete what we hold about you. We answer within 30 days. If you are in the EU or UK you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.
